The Brighton Youth Orchestra Trust Discretionary Awards
Springboard Concerto Class players who perform on Concerto Performance Day may be given the opportunity to perform with the Brighton Youth Orchestra or the Brighton and Hove Philharmonia in the season following the Festival.
These awards will be considered separately from the Springboard competition by a representative of the Brighton Youth Orchestra. The winners chosen by the Springboard Adjudicators will not necessarily be the ones chosen for the award, as other factors such as the
suitability of the concerto for the orchestras will need to be taken into account.
The Brighton Philharmonic Society Awards
4 season tickets for the BPO 2012 / 2013 concert season will be awarded at the Adjudicators' discretion to the most suitable Woodwind, Brass or String players who perform a concerto.
The Concerto Performance Day will start with performances by selected players from the Strings, Piano and Woodwind & Brass Sections in both the 19 years & under and 14 years & under age groups. These players will have already had an adjudication and will now have the opportunity to be heard by a representative of the Brighton Youth Orchestra.
Please see the Piano, Strings and Woodwind & Brass Sections for details of Concerto Classes for 19 years & under and 14 years & under.
THIS CLASS IS NOT RESTRICTED TO AMATEUR PERFORMERS
